HOW I TAKE OFF MY MAKEUP💆🏻| Some more skincare favs

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be sharing with you how I take off my makeup, all my go-to products and methods to ensure that my face is nice and clean and makeup free. I have acne-prone skin and makeup tends to clog my pores very easily resulting in awful breakouts. So I do all of these steps to make sure that ALL of the makeup is off my face. Lets get started:)

1. Removing eye makeup and waterproof mascara

Eye makeup can be hard to remove. Especially waterproof eyeliner and mascara due to their stubborn formula:( because eyes are so sensitive, you want something that’s going to easily remove all of it without being too much of a pain. You can use coconut oil for that.. but if you have oily skin like me then I recommend using Nivea Visage Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover:

This stuff is great! Just shake the bottle to mix the oil and the aqueous phase and pour some of it on a cotton ball. Then gently swipe it across your eyes and remove all the makeup. It takes off the makeup easily and does not leave an oily residue. Love it:)

2. Removing face makeup

For face makeup.. I prefer Nivea Refreshing cleansing milk. I talked about this in my everyday skincare essentails(click here) as well just because it’s great at not only removing makeup effectively but also cleaning your skin at the end of the day. I massage this all over my face and then remove with a cotton ball. I make sure that I remove ALL of it just in case I’ve missed any spot.

3. The Fun Part..(optional)

I then spritz a lot of rose water on my face and then remove that with a cotton ball too. It’s not only refreshing but also removes any left over residue of oil and makeup on my skin and it’s quite surprising to look at because even after all the cleansing there’s stuff left on my skin.

4. Washing my face

I use an oldie but a goodie Nivea Refreshing Face Wash to wash my face after I’m done with all the pre cleanse. I then pat my face dry and move on to toner.

5. Toning

Since my skin is prone to acne, I use something that helps treat my breakouts and prevent any future ones from popping. I use Clean and Clear Astrigent for that. This has 2% salicylic acid that helps dry out any existing pimples and also preventing other ones from coming esp those that are caused by clogged pores. However it’s somewhat drying so I only use it at night time. I take some of it on a cotton ball and apply on any problematic areas.

And here’s a picture of the aftermath for your viewing pleasure 😂

But hey at least we got clean skin now 🙂

Although this looks like a long process just because this post was a bit comprehensive, it only takes 5-10 mins in total.

That’s all! I hope you liked it 🙂
