REVIEW & SWATCHES: Glamorous Face USA Kissproof Longlasting LipsticksπŸ’„πŸ’‹

Hello everybody! I’m very excited to review these super inexpensive liquid lipsticks today. I didn’t set any high expectations from them or expect them to be super longlasting or anything as the price tag wasn’t too hefty. So how did these lippies perform overall? Read below to find out..

Packaging and consistency:

These come in standard lip gloss packaging with a flat lip gloss applicator. The applicator is flat instead of those traditional dome foot applicators.

The consistency on these is nice and mousse-y. The formula doesn’t feel heavy at all and apply very smoothly as well.

Lasting power and finish:

They dry completely matte on the lips. However, they can be slightly drying. Therefore, applying lip balm beforehand helps a lot for a smoother application. The shades are veryyy pigmented and opaque. And they look gorgeous on the lips. The only problem, I would say, is that they dry a bit sticky. So to avoid that, make sure to use a lip balm.

Cost and availability:

I found them at Naheed super market for under Rs.200. Β They are a steal at this price!! They are available in many different shades from reds and pinks to browns and nudes. I would rate them a 4.5 out of 5. I bought shades 18 and 20. Here are a few swatches:

Winter Skincare Must-HavesπŸ’†πŸ»β„οΈ

Hi guys! I’m back with another post and today I’m going to talk about all of the products that I’ve been using this season and been loving! Winter means coffee and hot chocolate all day every day(yayyy) β˜•οΈοΈ but it also means dry and dehydrated skin which is no joke πŸ™„

So here are some products that help me keep my skin smooth and soft throughout this time of the year:

1. Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Body Lotion:

If you’re a fan of sweet scents, then this is going to be your favorite! It smells like choco and vanilla which makes it a perfect treat for skin. Moreover, it moisturizes the skin very well. It keeps the skin soft and hydrated and does not leave a greasy residue behind which is a major turn off for me. I’ve been using it for 2 years now and I reach out for it quite a lot around winter time.

2. Nivea Smooth Sensation Body Lotion:

I recently discovered this body lotion when my friend told me to use products with Shea butter in them as it hydrates the skin very well. Shea butter was mentioned as one of the ingredients on the bottle, so when I saw this lying around on the market shelf, I decided to try it. And I must say I am quite impressed. It does what it claims! It hydrates my skin very well and makes it smoother as well. I have to say that it might be a tad bit better in terms of feel and fragrance than that of Vaseline’s Body Lotion.

3. St. Ives Nourish & Soothe Body Wash:

This is also a new discovery and I bought it for the same reason i.e. it had Shea Butter mentioned on the bottle. It does make my skin comparatively smoother and softer than other body washes but it does not do any wonders for the skin in terms of moisture. But I love it because I am a fan of sweet scents. Another problem with this body wash is that one needs to REALLY work their way to rinse this properly as it does leave a slight residue behind. I have never experienced this with any other body wash. Overall, I like it.

4. Hollywood Style Apricot Scrub:

I used to loveee the St. Ives Apricot Scrub and I know that pretty much every one and their mother has raved about this scrub at least once in their lifetime. But the problem with the St. Ives scrub was that its exfoliating beads were quite harsh on my skin. So I tried the Hollywood Style’s scrub instead. And I am absolutely in love. The particles are very fine but quite scrubby and this does not only do an amazing job of scrubbing off the dead skin but also deep cleanses and hydrates like no other! I highly recommend this.

5. Johnson’s Baby oil:

I use this as my makeup remover instead of the Nivea Cleansing Milk that I have talked about here, specifically during the colder months as it leaves my skin feeling soft after washing my face. I take a makeup wipe and pour a few drops of this and then remove all of my makeup with it. This oil does a great job of melting my makeup off, even waterproof mascara.

6. Marhaba Rose water spray:

Rose water is my skin care essential no matter what time of the year it is. It keeps my skin hydrated and glowy throughout. I was using Saeed Ghani’s rose water previously but then I bought this one when the one by Saeed Ghani was out of stock. I love the packaging on this because it’s quite girly πŸ˜‚ but it does a great job of refreshing my skin and the spray cap on it also distributes the product pretty evenly. And it smells amazing too!

7. Hollywood Style Sunscreen SPF 60:

Sun screen is more important than we think it is. Since everything I have tried from this brand turned out to be amazing, I decided to try this out as well. And it didn’t fail to impress me. This sunscreen has a matte finish and does not feel heavy at all. It does not leave a white cast that most sunscreens tend to and it is quite long lasting as well. It smells like babies and I don’t mind that at all. I love it.

8. Clean and Clear Morning Burst Brightening Cleanser:

In winter, our skin can look dry and dull at times. This cleanser has a cooling effect on the skin and its quite refreshing as well. I’ve noticed my dark spots fading slowly but surely with regular use and the best part is that it does not over dry the skin at all.

That’s all for my skin care favorites. Hope you liked it πŸ™‚

REVIEW: Camera Stick by Luscious CosmeticsπŸ“·

Hi guys!

I apologize for being MIA for a while because I’ve been super busy with all my A level stuff recently. I missed blogging so much for you guys so today I’m back with another post and this time it’s going to be a product review on a foundation stick that I recently purchased.

Foundation sticks have been in the game for a while. I never really understood the hype for some reason but then I decided to give in and buy one. The reason I bought Camera Stick by Luscious is because first of all I love everything about this brand. The products are very high quality and great for Pakistani skin tones. And secondly the brand claims that this foundation is particularly formulated for selfies and silver screen. So did this product live up to my expectations? Keep reading to find out πŸ˜‰

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Packaging: It comes in a gorgeous shiny black packaging that is simple but very chic at the same time. It’s slightly on the heavier side in terms of weight which gives a high end foundation feel to it. The brand’s logo is on the top of the cap (which by the way is great) and all the other details like the shade number and name, manufacturing location etc are written at the bottom of the stick.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

The brand claims: “Inspired by the expertise of Hollywood makeup artists, a creamy and easy-to-blend, full coverage foundation that melts onto the skin for extraordinary airbrushed results. Designed for the modem age of the selfie, it covers all blemishes and imperfections with photo-filter pigments, creating a complexion fit for the silver screen.
Dermatologist Tested
Suitable for all Skin Types

Paraben free. Vegan.”

My Experience:

I applied the product directly on well-moisturized skin(important). It glides on like a dream! Luscious has also introduced a foundation buffing brush to go along with their foundation(about that, I’ll talk in a minute) but I preferred using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush just because it covers a relatively large area thus, the application is quicker. The fact that it all blended out without any difficulty despite being such a heavy duty product, greatly impressed me. It is a medium to full coverage foundation and it covered all of my blemishes, spots and corrected my uneven skin tone beautifully(note that I have a lot of them). It’s a satin finish foundation but does not feel tacky to the touch which is also a great thing. It does not have any flashback at all! In fact it makes the skin look FLAWLESSSS in pictures. In my opinion, this product totally lives up to the brand’s claim and I am highly impressed. The lasting power is amazing.. for me it lasted up to 3 hours because that’s how long I wore it before taking my makeup off. But it kept looking fresh and flawless throughout. No smearing or smudging at all!

SWATCH: Luscious Camera Stick in the shade ‘Light Beige’

NOTE: Luscious is also giving away a free buffing foundation brush with the purchase of Camera Stick. The sales lady told me that the brush originally retails for Rs. 800/-. This deal is also eligible for online orders. Not sponsored y’all, just letting you guys know!

Mini Review on the Buffing Foundation Brush by Luscious: The brush has slant densely packed bristles and is super soft and high quality. It is perfect for painting your face πŸ™‚ The matte black handle is also super cute. I felt like it was great for blending out the creamy Foundation stick. However, I felt the need to go in with Real Techniques Buffing Brush to really buff it in to my skin. Overall, it’s a great brush but not sure if I would buy it individually for the price tag. But the fact that Luscious is giving it away for free is absolutely amazing! πŸ™‚

Cost and Availability:

Luscious Camera Stick is available in 8 shades:

  1. 000 Porcelain
  2. 00 Pink Porcelain
  3. 0 Ivory
  4. 1 Light Beige
  5. 1.5 Natural Beige
  6. 2 Warm Beige
  7. 2.5 Medium Beige
  8. 3 Deep Beige

It retails for Rs. 1850/-. The easiest way to get this product is by ordering it online from their website I got mine from Naheed superstore in Karachi.

Hope you liked my product review. Have you tried out this foundation? If yes, then please leave your thoughts in the comments below. And also, let me know your favorite products from Luscious cosmetics if any. I would love to check them out πŸ™‚

HOW I TAKE OFF MY MAKEUPπŸ’†πŸ»| Some more skincare favs

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be sharing with you how I take off my makeup, all my go-to products and methods to ensure that my face is nice and clean and makeup free. I have acne-prone skin and makeup tends to clog my pores very easily resulting in awful breakouts. So I do all of these steps to make sure that ALL of the makeup is off my face. Lets get started:)

1. Removing eye makeup and waterproof mascara

Eye makeup can be hard to remove. Especially waterproof eyeliner and mascara due to their stubborn formula:( because eyes are so sensitive, you want something that’s going to easily remove all of it without being too much of a pain. You can use coconut oil for that.. but if you have oily skin like me then I recommend using Nivea Visage Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover:

This stuff is great! Just shake the bottle to mix the oil and the aqueous phase and pour some of it on a cotton ball. Then gently swipe it across your eyes and remove all the makeup. It takes off the makeup easily and does not leave an oily residue. Love it:)

2. Removing face makeup

For face makeup.. I prefer Nivea Refreshing cleansing milk. I talked about this in my everyday skincare essentails(click here) as well just because it’s great at not only removing makeup effectively but also cleaning your skin at the end of the day. I massage this all over my face and then remove with a cotton ball. I make sure that I remove ALL of it just in case I’ve missed any spot.

3. The Fun Part..(optional)

I then spritz a lot of rose water on my face and then remove that with a cotton ball too. It’s not only refreshing but also removes any left over residue of oil and makeup on my skin and it’s quite surprising to look at because even after all the cleansing there’s stuff left on my skin.

4. Washing my face

I use an oldie but a goodie Nivea Refreshing Face Wash to wash my face after I’m done with all the pre cleanse. I then pat my face dry and move on to toner.

5. Toning

Since my skin is prone to acne, I use something that helps treat my breakouts and prevent any future ones from popping. I use Clean and Clear Astrigent for that. This has 2% salicylic acid that helps dry out any existing pimples and also preventing other ones from coming esp those that are caused by clogged pores. However it’s somewhat drying so I only use it at night time. I take some of it on a cotton ball and apply on any problematic areas.

And here’s a picture of the aftermath for your viewing pleasure πŸ˜‚

But hey at least we got clean skin now πŸ™‚

Although this looks like a long process just because this post was a bit comprehensive, it only takes 5-10 mins in total.

That’s all! I hope you liked it πŸ™‚

Favorite face masks of ALL TIME!

Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a wonderful day. In this post, I want to share with y’all my favorite face masks. All of them I swear by. Face masks are great to incorporate in your weekly skincare routine. They are my go-to when I want a deep cleanse and get all the bad stuff out that may be hidden deep down in my pores. You know when you’ve had a rough week? Or maybe you’ve put tons of makeup throughout the week and your skin is not too happy? Or when you want to calm those breakouts down? Yep, that’s when face masks can come in handy. Also, they are a great way to have a chill out session after a long long week(or a day)..

There are many types of face masks for example clay, mud, peel off and sheet masks. Also, there is a different one for every skin type. Therefore, when choosing a mask for yourself, you must take into consideration your skin type(oily, normal, combination, dry), your skin concerns and figure out whether you have sensitive skin.

  • My skin type: Normal to Combination
  • Concerns: Breakouts, texture, uneven skin tone
  • What I look in a face mask: Deep cleansing, Smoothing, Getting rid of dead skin cells
  1. Freeman Mint and Lemon Clay Mask

img_2144This is my absolute FAVORITEEE one out of all three of them. What’s not to like about this one? I saw one of my fav YouTubers rave about this in their monthly favorites video.. so I gave in and bought it since it is easily available and pretty affordable as well. Also, Mint and Lemon? YES PLEASE.

    Packaging and consistency:

It comes in a squeeze tube and the quantity is pretty good (150 ml) considering the cheap price tag. It’s a pale green colored clay mask and the consistency is pretty thick and smooth but it’s not too hard to get out of the tube. It’s also quite easy to control the amount of product that comes out of the tube and packaging is travel-friendly.

    How to apply:

Apply a thick layer all over your face avoiding the eye area. Let it dry for about 10-15 minutes(it’s supposed to harden and give you that pulsating effect). Wash your face and pat dry.

    My experience:

I love this one particularly because it deep cleans my skin and gets rid of any dry patches, dead skin cells and texture around my nose area. It smooths my skin very well and gets rid of excess oil as well but my skin doesn’t feel too dry or tight in an unpleasant way. Also, you can’t go wrong with some mint and lemon right?! However, people with extremely dry skin may not like this mask. As far as it goes for me, I’m definitely going to purchase this one again!

  2. Freeman Anti-Stress Mask

Hmm.. Anti-stress mask? Say whaaat. I know guys, the title made me wonder for a while too. How could a face mask possibly help ease our stress? One may ask. I too, didn’t get my answer until I actually put this clay mask on my face. It’s mainly the way it smells that makes us forget how stressed we are. Instead, makes us wonder how could a regular face mask smell this good. It’s truly an indulgence.

    Packaging and consistency:

All of Freeman’s face masks come in the same packaging i.e. squeeze tube with a flip cap. The packaging is pretty travel friendly as stated above for the Mint and Lemon mask. However, the consistency is not the same for every mask. This one is slightly runny as compared to the mint and lemon one. It’s definitely not hard at all to dispense this product although one might have to be a little careful as more than the desired quantity could be dispensed due to it’s consistency. Also, I love the color of this mask. It’s very blue and pleasing to the eyes.. looks even better when applied on the face.

    How to apply:

Apply a thick layer all over your face avoiding the eye area. Let it dry for about 10 to 15 minutes. This too, hardens. Wash your face and pat dry.

    My Experience:

I like this mask because it’s a very simple mask for all skin types that doesn’t make unrealistic claims about how it would miraculously turn our skin into a flawless one overnight. All it claims to do is clear out pores and make skin appear smoother.. which is exactly what it does. Also, the scent is my favorite part! Overall, a great face mask for everyone. 5 stars for this one πŸ™‚

  3. Everyuth Naturals Golden Glow Peel-off mask

Many people are hesitant to try peel-off masks. Mostly because they are considered quite painful to remove once dried and also the process of peeling them off is scary in general. It looks like you’re taking an entire layer off your face. But trust me. It’s quite rewarding once you’re done with the process. Plus, not all peel-off masks are hard or painful to remove.. like this one. It’s easy to take off and I love this because it gives me baby smooth skin.

    Packaging and consistency:

The mask is of a runny but not too liquid-y consistency. It’s quite easy to apply all over the face and spread evenly. It’s an orange colored mask with gold-shimmer particles showing this mask a glam touch(LOL). However, all the shimmer comes off with the peeling and none is left sticking on the face. The packaging is quite simple but not inconvenient.

    How to apply:

Take a generous amount of product and spread it all over your face evenly. Avoid the eye area and eyebrows as well. Make sure the layer is not too thin or even a little thin.. or else the removal process could be bit of a pain. Let it dry then peel it off in downwards direction starting from forehead to chin. Rinse the left over residue with cold water.

    My experience:

I’ve been using this mask for 2 years now and it’s safe to say that I’m in love! It completely gets rid of any dryness or dead peeling skin around my nose area, evens out the skin texture and makes my skin feel super soft.I like to use it particularly after cleansing and exfoliating my skin. It also comes in handy when I just want my skin to look good and makeup to sit well before any occasion as it really does a great job of smoothing the skin. However, people with sensitive skin should do a test patch before applying it all over the face as the peeling can cause temporary redness or irritate sensitive skin.

SO, that’s all for my favorite face masks! I hope I’ve covered all the details I could on these. Remember that what works for me might not work for you. That’s because everyone’s skin is different. I’m just sharing with you guys my experience and what I think about these masks personally.

I hope you enjoyed these posts. Let me know your favorite masks by dropping names in the comments below and I would love to check them out! πŸ˜€

Mini Makeup Tutorial: How I pull off a dark lipπŸ’„πŸ‘„

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Hi there! Today I present to you a mini makeup tutorial on how I mostly pull off a dark lip without looking crazy. I do this when I have to go to a party or something,  but don’t feel like spending a lot of time on my eye makeup. Thus, this look involves a very simple eye look with bold lips and can be achieved within 15 minutes or so πŸ™‚ So let’s get started.

Hair fall? Damaged hair? Try this!🍢

Hi everybody! I’m back with another post and this time, I’m going to share with ya’ll how I fixed my hair πŸ™‚

I have a thin hair texture that is prone to breakage. I suffered from hair loss for 2 years and it got really bad in July when I returned from UAE after a month. No amount of trimmings or treatments was able to fix it. Moreover, the tips were very damaged from the all the bleaching I had been doing every year. In a nutshell, my hair was not happy at all so I had to cut it very short. However, Β I made sure I took proper care on a weekly basis to prevent damage and hair fall from returning.

Here’s what I do..

As an overnight mask:

I take 100% coconut oil, almond oil and castor oil and mix all of them in a bowl (ratio 2:1:1). Then I heat the mixture in the microwave for 20 seconds. I massage it into my roots for 5 minutes and then apply it all over my hair from root to tip. I let all the good stuff soak into my hair overnight and wash my hair the next day.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

As a deep conditioning mask:

Apply the mixture on damp or wet hair. Make sure you saturate your hair with it. Cover your hair with a shower cap (shower cap is crucial guys, it keeps your hair from drying thus, all the oils absorb better and faster). Keep this on for 1-2 hours and then wash your hair with your favorite shampoo and conditioner.

My experience:

I did this twice a week and I started noticing results in just 2 weeks! It really improved my hair fall to a great extent and my hair got softer, shinier and even looked healthier. If you’re looking for a way to improve your hair, I recommend you to try this out at least once!😺

NOTE: Please don’t do this every single day. Do this once or twice a week only. Too much of anything could be harmful for your hair πŸ™‚

My everyday skincare|Simple and affordableπŸ’†πŸ»

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset

Skincare favs πŸ™‚

Hi everybody! So I figured since this is the first post on my blog, it should be something I’m very particular about and that is skin care. For me, skin care is not just important for maintaining healthy clear skin but also its a way of de-stressing(if that’s a word) and winding down at the end of the day.

Now, coming back to my everyday skincare, I prefer products that are easily available in the market and are affordable.. Because skin care can be hella expensiveee sometimes. Before heading on to the actual products, I just want to mention that this post is not sponsored by Nivea at all.. This is the brand I use mostly because their products are gentle yet effective on my skin.. πŸ™‚

Step 1: Pre-cleanse

This step is very important for effective cleansing. I’ve seen most girls who directly just go ahead with washing their face and apply their moisturizer without realizing that a lot of makeup and sweat is still left in their pores which they don’t even know is there. I like to use a cleansing milk as a pre-cleansing step where I massage my skin for 2 to 3 minutes even on days when I’m not wearing any makeup, and then wipe it all off with a cotton ball and you could see all the bad stuff that was on your skin before(gross!!). My favorite cleansing milk at the moment is Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Milk for Normal Skin:

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Step 2: Cleanse

Then I cleanse my face with any face wash that’s laying around in my bathroom.. However, I’ve really been liking Nivea Refreshing Face Wash for Normal Skin lately (also suitable for combo skin). I might switch to the one meant for dry and sensitive skin during the winter time.

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Step 3: Tone

Toning is another important step that provides extra cleansing especially to people with oily and acne prone skin. It helps remove oil and traces of make up that may still be chillin’ out in your pores(LOL no thanks). Use a gentle toner that won’t strip off your skin of its natural oils causing your skin to produce more oil and break out. My go-to toner is rose water. It’s natural and very soothing(scent is a bonus). I use one by Saeed Ghani but you can use one from any brand you prefer.

Step 4: Moisturize

Last but not the least; moisturizer. Moisturizing is important even for all the oily girlies out there as it helps keep your skin soft and hydrated. My favorite at the moment is Nivea Soft Cream as it absorbs right away into my skin without leaving any greasy residue. It can also be used as a hand cream and a body cream:)

For my lips, I love the classic Vaseline. It’s cheap and does the job well.

That’s all for my skincare! Comment below your skin care favs and I would love to try ’em out πŸ˜€
